“The stone canyons of the Southwest call to me in whispers. Years ago, when I began hiking into the remote deserts of Arizona and Utah, I was “taken” by the geology, the plants and the wildlife. Purely by accident, I stumbled upon rock surfaces covered with ancient petroglyphs and pictographs. These ancient works of art captivated me. Their compelling influence appears in many of my paintings.”
